Director of Music & Administration
Christopher is a highly skilled and innovative musician who pays special attention to the importance of music within the liturgy and the overall worship experience. In addition, he brings many years of Arts Administration and volunteerism to his role within the church office.
Christopher is competent on both piano and organ, and is a skilled choral specialist. He is equally comfortable in traditional and more contemporary styles of music and brings a wide variety of music to the 9:02 service.
In addition to his work at Saint David’s, Christopher is in demand as a vocal teacher, coach, adjudicator and clinician. A graduate of the Western University, he is Director of the Saint John Rotary Boys Choir, Rothesay-Kings Rotary Girls Choir, the Harbour View Choral Ensembles and the Carleton Choristers.
From 2006-2010, he was the Executive Director of Opera New Brunswick. An active member of the community, he currently serves as the Treasurer for the New Brunswick Competitive Festival of Music, the New Brunswick Federation of Music Festivals and the Canadian Chamber Choir, Secretary/Treasurer of the Saint John Centre of the Royal Canadian College of Organists (RCCO) and is a member of the Board of Directors of the New Brunswick Choral Federation. Since 2002, he has been an active member of the Canadian Chamber Choir, touring throughout Canada as they work to build communities through choral singing. In 2008, he was named one of New Brunswick’s 21 Leaders for the 21st Century.
Christopher has been a part of the ministry team of Saint David’s since August 2010.
